Lily, the red-haired girl, was in the library with her sister, Pitunia.
"Pitu, this book must be really interesting. Looking at the book cover, it reminds me of the beach we went to last summer."
Lily whispered as she sat in the library reading table where Pitunia was.
Then Pitunia answered quietly.
"Lily, but we have to go now. So if you're going to read that book, why don't you borrow it?"
Then Lily nodded, and went to a large desk where a firm-looking narrative sat.
"Well, the book has been borrowed. I hope you return it exactly by next Tuesday."
When the narrative spoke stiffly and returned the book, Lily left the library with Pitunia.
"Oh, it's raining a lot outside."
"Well, Lily, we have one umbrella, so we'll share it together."
When Pitunia said in a tone that it didn't matter, Lily took her white umbrella and pulled her hand to Pitunia.
When they got home, Mom sat them down with a smile.
"What book did you borrow?"
Their father, Mr. Evanson, was looking at the newspaper and asked as he walked to the table.
"Well, I'll tell you that later. I'm so hungry now!"
As Lily spoke, Pitunia, who was sitting in a chair next to her, said.
"Can't a 12-year-old even stand being hungry?"
"What..."
When Lily tried to refute, Mom brought spaghetti.
"Shh, Pitunia, don't tease your sister, and Lily, let's eat first."
It was a happy evening when Lily was smiling and stamping her legs and Pitunia was talking to her dad and mom.
After dinner, Lily went out with Pitunia to see the squirrel she raises outside.
"He-he, look! Squirrels sleep over there!"
"Yeah! that's funny, Lily... Oh, what's this?"
Pitunia opened her eyes wide and picked up a white letter lying in front of the damp floor.
When Lily next to her told her to tear it, she tore the letter apart.
Then a piece of paper fell.
