Dear Harry Potter readers

You might know me as Harry’s evil aunt. But have you ever thought how life would have been like for me?

I was an older sister of Lily. As you know, she preformed magic early in her life. I was jealous, only flying out of swings and making dead flowers bloom in your hand didn’t work for me. One day, we were at the playground and I asked her how she did these amazing things. Then we met that Snape boy and you probably know what happened next.

I quickly realized the Snape boy could do magic to, and I was more jealous than ever. So I started spying on them, and then I got caught by them as you know. Then, even worse, that guy from Hogwarts came and for me it was forcing to believe that she really was a witch, second to proud parents (not proud of me, if your mistaken. I was in the background.). And so, the only thing left for me was to write a letter to professor Dumbledore myself. I got a letter back, a ‘very kind one’ according to Lily. All in all, it said no.

I didn’t mentioned that letter to any one, not even mommy and daddy, because they did not help. Then, Lily and that Snape boy searched my room and found that letter! Talk about privacy!

Than, we grew up. She into a witch, me into a sulky muggle.

I never revealed that my sister was a witch to anyone. First of all, they would think I was crazy. Second of all, even if they did believe me, they would just talk forever about Lily like my parents. I was finally free from her shadow than, and did not want to remember those lonely days. Then I married and had a son, and I did not want to give him the aches I had experienced in my young days. That’s why I accidently spoiled him.

The freedom didn’t last long. Soon, my nephew appeared on my doorstep, with the letter from Albus Dumbledore. Now, when I think about it, I think he just used me as a tool to protect Harry. Anyway, I took care of him for 10 years. But I made sure my son wasn’t made heartbroken by him.(Many might say that I was cruel in this part, but think about me!)

Than Hagrid showed up. The result was a pigtail for Dudley. And 3 years later, his tongue became longer than his arm. The next year, his soul was almost sucked out. Do you see how many dangers my family has been in?

Finally, in book 7 I had to leave my beloved home because I was related to Harry. In my last appearance, you may remember my last sentence to him. “Well... Goodbye.” I was kind of afraid I would never see Lily’s eyes again. But I just couldn’t say anything. So I went out after my son and husband.

Now, I told you my life through and through. What do you think of me now?
