Milly couldn't believe it was the rehearsal and performance day of Kids Action for Thanksgiving. The stage staff crew brought costumes and props, everything! So Milly was feeling nervous. But she was also excited. She rushed into the auditorium. Ginger, Kai, and Kelly were nervous too. "Time to start rehearsals, kids! Please go to backstage," Miss Shella exclaimed. "And can you please turn off all the lights, stage staff crew?" the director added. "Yes," George answered. "Miss Shella, what about the microphones?" Kai asked. "Oops! Sorry, kids! We forgot the microphones! Please come back!" the director replied. Miss Shella helped the kids put the microphones. "Fantastic! First rehearsal starts!" the director explained. The kids reminded theirselves and offered to go onstage. "We've gotta start! We're gonna be great!" Milly thought. The kids jogged backstage. "We'll be great!" Kelly declared. "Of course. I wanna say that too. Thanks, Kelly," Ginger announced and agreed back. **** Soon the two rehearsals were over. The kids were tired. "Who wants energy bars?" Miss Shella asked. "Me!" the kids squealed as they raised their hands. They screamed. "Yay! Three cheers for Miss Shella!" Ginger shrieked. "Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!" the kids cheered and hooted. They clapped. **** Soon became five o'clock. "Please attention, students and teachers. Today there will be a Kids Action Thanksgiving Musical at six o'clock. If you're going there, please use the restrooms first. We hope you enjoy the performance," Ms. Conner, the principal spoke to the loudspeaker. **** The musical began. **** "'I really like chocolate!'" Milly read her lines onstage. Soon the curtains closed. **** After the musical, Milly dashed out of the auditorium. "Mom! Thanks for coming!" she said. "You're welcome, daughter," Milly's mom said.
