"Stop, Brego. we're here." 

a brown-skin servant cried. he was driving a wagon, and in the wagon, was a men and a women. I peered out the window, so I could   see the men clearly. he was looking the window, that I was looking at, so I quickly hide behind the curtain. 

a few minutes later, the men and women get out from the wagon, and came in to the orphanage. I was so surprised. is that men is trying to adopt the orphan in here? that was a happy news. if he does adopt the child in here, this place will be more silent. 

I didn't like loud things. so when the other orphans cried and make loud sounds, I went upstairs and read books about the Princess's. 

 "Wyngton! Ned! Emme! come here! the guest had arrived." 

Mr. Codella cried. she rubbed her hands on her apron and looked at the men and women. 

"now, you can choose the child that you'll adopt." Codella said. she wave to Wyngton. he was waiting for Codella's motion. 

  if Codella don't make motions to Wyngton, he cannot move at all. "now, now! his name is Wyngton, and he is 15 years-old! he is really old boy, but, he is really polite and have good manners!" 

Codella wanted the orphans adopt very soon, because care the orphans was a hard task. sometimes, a young orphans cry, because they wanted mommy. or, some of them cried because they wanted to see their Parents. every time they cry, Codella hit them with her whip. 

"no, I don't want him. he is too big for me. I want more little one. and, I'd told you! I want girls, not a boy." a men said. he tapped his chins, and looked at Emme. "how old are you?" he asked to Emme. Emme replied to him, that she is 12 years-old. "she is too old too!" men cried. he finally looked at Ned. "he is a BOY! I'd told you, Codella! I want little, quiet Girl!" 

men was really mad. he looked at Codella with a sharp look in his eyes. 

"I... I thought 12 years-old was a young girl! Emme is really quiet and lovely. I thought she was a great girl for you." 

Codella said to the men. I was still watching them, but I was still hiding behind a curtain. I thought I was hiding so they could not saw me, but it was a wrong thought. 

the Women with the men could saw me, because my half-body was out from the curtain. the women point at me. 

"what about her? she is a girl, and she looks young. besides, she is really quiet too!" the women said. 

I was so surprised. 'NO!' I thought. 'I want to live in here, I don't want to go with them!' 

last month, my close friend Lia was adopted. I was really sad, because she, and me was a best friend. Lia was kind, and she was always good to me. she often read books to me. but, last week, she send a letter to me. 

she said, her parents was very wicked. they kicked Lia, and hit her with a long stick, even she didn't done a mistake. 

"I'll never go with them..." 

I said to myself. but, the men nodded his head. "oh, really! I'd saw her in the windows. she is a pretty little girl. please show her for us, Codella." the men said. 'oh, no!' I thought. Codella was walking closer to me now. I was really scared. I closed my eyes. 

"Rosa! come out from the curtain! there is new peoples who want to see you!" Codella said. 

I walked slowly out from the curtain. and, I slowly opened my eyes too. "...r...re..ally?" I said in a low tone. 

Codella nodded her head. "go to them, and reply to their questions. and, remember! that men is a captain of the soldiers. 

don't be rude to them!" Codella whispered to me. 

"but..." I was trying to said something to Codella. but she pulled me to men and women. 

"her name is Rosa, and she is 8 years-old. she likes reading books, painting, and she never talks. of course, she can do talking, but she don't likes it. and, she is really quiet." 

Codella said to the men. men nodded and walked closer to me. then, he whispered to me. 

"you'll be my daughter now."
