Unboxing the Stories that Wasn't Able to Say

Recommendation Song for this series_Bon Voyage by YooA

After we finished talking and having a tea time, we set up to go to the storage room (Well, we decided to call that place Sto, but I don't know what it means but Mabel just named it.). We walked for ten minutes, and arrived at Sto. Looking at Sto and its clearing reminded me of yesterday, when we found this necklace. But, I tried to stop thinking about it and started to decorate the Sto with decorations and little things that Mabel had brought. Josh placed a red carpet at the floor, Mabel put a decoration at the doors and windows, while I was putting flowers on the windows and hanging curtains. We also made a place for Eve, who followed us everyday. I placed a green cushion and his food and water.

`Thank you, sis. I like my new sit.` Eve said as he sat down at his cushion.

I was startled for a few second, but I smiled back to Eve after understanding him. We cleaned the rest of the Sto that we weren't able to clean it yesterday because of the necklace. Mabel went to her house to get more things that she had bought or her mom allowed. Josh and I stayed at the room, and I sat next to Eve. Josh walked around the room, checking everything. Finally, he sat down and looked at me. It made me to blush.

"Wow, this room looks very different after cleaning and decorating it. Although Mabel is going to bring more." he said.

I just nodded and looked down at the floor. I couldn't have my head up because I feel something strange inside me that I had never felt before.

"Um...Is there wrong, Miss Elena? Are you okay?" asked Josh. I nodded again and Josh looked at the door nodding, too.

"I have a question for you, Miss and is it okay for me to ask you about it?" asked Josh carefully. I said it is okay and just stared at the floor. Josh hesitated for a moment and then asked me.

"I hope it will not hurt your feelings, but I heard that you are living with your twin brothers and grandmother. What about your parents? I asked Mabel about it yesterday while we were returning to town, but she just shook her head and didn't answered to it. Is there something wrong about them?"

I looked up and didn't move for a moment. My parents...? I felt that I was going to cry, so I put my head down. Josh looked at me and then waited.

"It's okay for you to not answer if you don't want to talk about it. I'm sorry." he said.

"No, no, Josh. I'm okay...but I just needed a few minute to think about it. You don't need to be sorry." I said. There was a awkward silence between us, and I spoke first.

"Three years ago, when I was eleven and my twin brothers were four, there was a dreadful car accident. We were returning from our grandparent's house which we live now. Emmett and Evan were very tired from playing, so they were asleep. I was very tired, so I was staring outside, watching moon and lots of trees. My dad was driving and my mom was talking to him. Just then, a big, black car ran toward our car, very fast that we weren't able to stop and avoid it. My dad stopped immediately with a loud noise, making me and brothers bump heads at the front sit. My mom was pale as she saw the car speeding right toward us. Then, there was a sound of glasses cracking, a loud noise, and I could feel that the car was flying. I closed my eyes tightly because I was too scared to open my eyes or do anything. I felt the car bump to the ground very hard, and my arm bumped into the car window which made me to scream and cry. It was so hurt, that I fainted." I explained.

Josh listened to me carefully to my story. He asked if I was okay, and I went on my story.

"The thing I remember is that when I woke up there was a bandage around my right arm, that made me hard to move it. I was in the hospital, and grandma was watching us, crying. I stood up and looked around. I saw my twin brothers crying. I asked them if they were okay and they said they were just crying because it was scary to watch mommy, daddy and sister lying at bed with not moving. Grandma told me I was not moving for two days. I asked her my parents okay, but I wasn't able to hear the answers. For five days, I needed to stay at hospital until my arm healed perfectly.  Grandma told that it was a car accident, and our car flew out the road and landed hard on the middle of the forest. It was near her house, so she and grandpa were able to hear the loud sound. They ran to the place and found our car in fire. She hurried to home to get water, while grandpa tried to rescue our family. While he tried to put off the fire, grandma called the firefighters and hospital."

"What happened to your parents?" Josh asked carefully.

I sighed and wiped out my tears away and began to told the story that I wasn't able to say to anyone.
