Wait a moment. I indicated that it escaped. I don't sense anything." Veritha said.
"What?" Colon asked. "I thought the leader was strong enough to just fight against. I guess not."
"Maybe,but where's Pirene?" Veirhta asked. "I don't notice her either."
"A hostage,now. These creatures are way powerful than I thought. I never taught..." He stopped himself. "I never thought that they would act like normal species."
At all moments,Artiez remained silent. Then,Artiez spoke in a low voice,"I think I know where the monster is."
"Where?" Veritha and Colon asked.
"I have a painter ability. I can track trails of the movement it left." Artiez dipped the brush on the canvas,and threw it. It landed on the street,and moved so fast that none can see. A moment later,the trail of footprints were noticed.
"This way." Artiez led them toward a direction,that led to the streets,straight through about 6 blocks,and into a quiet town.
"Here?" Veritha asked. It was where Colon brought her into other place. At least,it looked like.
"Yes." Artiez said. "This place,along with several other places,has a special prototype walls. These walls are the way into the portal,if you have keys like Colon's stone. And as I thought,this creature wants to open it,by sabotaging the guards,and..."
Just then,Colon raised his arm. "Something's here."
They quickly got ready for an action,when Colon swung his blaster,fired it,and managed to find the monster.
It had a paint on its foot,just as Artiez had made. And Pirene was nearby,tied up.
"You should have known that it's a trap! Now,no one can escape!"
"Oh,no. This will take care of you." Colon raised a small stone in the air. Suddenly,it glowed,and the entire area became green.
"I suspect that it's about time you have done enough." Colon said,"Grinder-Wolf."
"No!!! How did you...?" The monster shouted,but the voice became faint.
Then,it became a small stone. A purple one.
"There." Colon said,handing it to Veritha. "You can keep this,as a souvenir."
"Thanks." Veritha got the stone. "Now,what are you going to do?"
"Our job here is done." Colon recited a quick spell,and right away,he and the others vanished.
Veritha looked at where they had been,and shurugged. Then,she went back toward the first place. But on the way,she noticed that the purple stone was gone.
