Why Dokdo Island is ours
Do you know Dokdo? If you are Korean, you probable know Dokdo island. Dokdo is located in West of Korea: Gyeongsangbuk-do Province Ulleung-gun Ulleung-eup Dokdo-ri. And it is Korea's land. But Japan insist it is their land. So I'll tell you why Dokdo Island is ours.
First of all, Dokdo is closer to our land than Japan's. Dokdo is close to Ulleundo Island. In a clear day, we can see Dokdo when we are on Ullendo. But, in Japan's Islands Okey do Island, we can't see Dokdo anywhere!
Next, historically, Dokdo Island is our land. Silla's maps show that Dokdo became Silla's Island. And Japan itself admitted Dokdo is Korea's by excluding Dokdo from their map. Other country, such as Russia, conceded Dokdo as Korea's land.
Then, why does Japan insist Dokdo is their's? After the Word War Ⅱ, Japan had problem with other country's land-Russia, Korea, and China. So if Japan admit Dokdo is ours, it affects others. Furthermore, Dokdo Island has plenty resources: water resources, fish resources, and Gas Hydrate, which is expected as new energy resource. Because of political and financial reasons, Japan say Dokdo is theirs.
