We went to Kate's house to listen to the story of how she loses her pen.

Me, Nimi, Jane, Hera knocked on Kate's house door.

"Who is it?" Kate's mom answered, opening the door. "If is pizza delivery, we didn't order it."

"No, Miss. We are Kate's classmates." Nimi said. "We came to see Kate."

"And why is that?" Kate's mom asked suspiciously.

"Kate asked us to find her pen," Nimi said quickly. "She came to our Mystery club yesterday."

"Oh. Is that so?" Kate's mom said, opening the door widely. "Come inside. I thought you guys were a thief." 

Kate was in her room, studying. "Oh. Hey guys. Why are you here?" Kate said when she saw us.

'Why are you here?' is a question? We came here because of you! And you don't know?' I thought.

"We came here to listen to the story of how you lost your pen," Hera said. "We can't solve the mystery without a proper story."

"Oh," Kate said, spinning her old pen. "Well... I took the pen to school and studied, and I left it... for gym class.

And when I returned, it was gone!"

"What color is it?" I asked, taking out a pen and a notebook. "We have to know."

"Well, is purple, my favorite color," Kate said, turning her head to me.

"Hmm.. purple, huh?" I said, scribbling the word 'Purple pen' in my notebook. "Then we have to ask someone who saw the pen and

someone between The start of gym time and end of gym time-what was the time the start of the gym time and end?"

 "Hmm, the start of gym time was 10:30 A.M. and end was 12;00," Kate answered.

"Did you see anyone not going to the gym?" I asked like Sherlock Holmes.

"Hmm... Oh! Cindy didn't go to the gym class because she was in the  nursing room." Kate answered.

"Wait, that means... Cindy stole my pen?" 

"Yeah! Case closed!"Jane said. "This case was easy."

"The first case solved!" Hera cheered.

"Wait, guys. Let's think." Nimi said. "Why would someone steal a pen? Just a pen? If someone would steal something,

he or she would steal priceless. But a pen is not priceless. They could buy a pen in  stationery."    

"Yeah. I agree with Nimi." I said. "Someone might have done that on a mistake.
