  •  "Come with me, Creave... come with me... you won't regret..." whispered a woman into a man who was sitting with her in a bar. The man called Creave hesitated. "But... I have a family I'm responsible for... and a career... I can't just leave... are you mad at me?" He whispered back, so no one else would hear.

The woman had made an angry face when the man gave excuses, but she softened her face into the original one at the last sentence. "No, dear... I'm not mad at you... of course not. Why would I be?" She gulped down a glass of very potent wine and continued. "I'm just upset at our fate... it's so unfair, I love you, and you love me too, don't you?" she smiled sweetly and kissed him on the cheek.

The man grinned. "Oh, oh, oh... I love you too. Of course... I'll go with you... shall we leave right now?" then he kissed the woman right on the forhead, and drank a whole bottle of beer.

"No, my love," said the woman in a swirling and hypnotizing voice. "You will write your name here,"-she took out a paper from her suitcase and pointed at a blank. It said 'the responsible person's signiture.' "Oh of course I will," said the man. He picked up a pen lying beside and wrote his name; Cedric AramiPercerin. "Oh my dear, your signiture is so whoopy..." said the woman. "But it doesn't matter... I'll see you... I'll see you here tomorrow night... and you'll see me from hell... Love you." she blew a kiss, rolled the paper up, and swiftly walked out of the bar. She slapped the money for the wine on the counter. She grinned very slyly, and the fat man standing at the counter grinned back. "How did it go?" he asked, glancing at the man called Creave, who was sprawled on the table, snoring.

"Great," said the woman. "I'll see you again tomorrow."

"Deal, Valencia," said the fat man. "I guess I'd have to wish you good luck."

"Thank you." said Valencia. Then she walked out without another glance back and disappeared through the midnight mist.

"Father, where is Uncle Cedric?" asked Aliata Percerin, the daughter of Thomas Percerin, entering the study. Thomas Percerin was a very rich and also famous lawyer. He was born in a very small village in the countryside. He was the third of 5 children, and his parents were very poor. However, Mr. Percerin was very smart and now was in a very honorable rank, with all his siblings living in the mansion. It was called a mansion, but it was very small, compared to other mansions. They didn't have any housekeepers or private car drivers. Mr. Percerin pitied them too much to hire them for himself.

"Aliata," said Mr. Percerin a sigh. "Please, didn't I tell you not to disturb me while I'm working on a case? This is a very important case with a lot of money on it."

"Oh Father, we have enough money to live on for the rest of our life. Or at least, your life. And did you see Uncle Cedric?" Aliata repeated.

"No, dear. But I'm sure he's somewhere."

"He hasn't slept here last night, and no one has seen him since yesterday's tea. He's missing!" Aliata said, smoothing her silk night gown.

"What?!" shouted Mr. Percerin, jumping up from his seat. He checked his watch. "It's 9 o'clock in the morning and he still hasn't come back?!" Then he sat down slowly, and sighed. "He's probably drunk and sleeping again in a pub. Aliata, call the Han's Pub, and if he's not there, call the Brit's Bar. I'm positive he'd be in one of those pub.

The girl walked out, but she came in about 5 minutes after. "Grandpa called those places, and another pub Uncle Cedric goes usually, but he isn't there. He hasn't gone to any of the pubs there yesterday."

Mr. Percerin hated to be disturbed. But this was almost an emergency. His brother had never gone to the other pub exvept those three they'd called. "And he didn't answer his phone?' he asked. Aliata shook his head. "Okay," said Mr. Percerin slowly. "Let's wait until dinner. And if there's no contact from him at all until then, I'm calling the police."

"Okay, but Uncle Cedric better come back before dinner. Or Aunt Hannah would probably kill him if he doesn't."

But after an hour... it was found out that the Percerins didn't have to wait until dinner.
