One fine morning, Dr. Bradford, the professor of Metro City University of Science, went to his work. He wore one of his best suit and his best tie.
As he reached to the door, his little Scottish Terrier came to him and started whinning. "Don't worry, Sam. I'll be back soon," he said in a gentle voice, patting its head, "and be a good doggie. All right?" And Sam wagged its tail merrily.

After Dr. Bradford finished his work, he went to his house immediately. When he entered his front gate, he felt something uncanny. Normally Sam barked when he entered his gate. But he only heard of a beast-like, low snarl. "Weird..." he thought and went to his front door.
As he gentley opened the door, a giant ebony wolf-not a Scottish Terrier-was glaring at him with a glowing yellow eye. And before he could say 'Jack Robinson,' it pounced at him with a great howl. "Aaaaaargh!" He yelled.

"I really want a pet," Terrel said one day, walking with his pals, "Especially dog." "What does your parents say?" Mara asked. "Well, my parents say they're OK," Terrel said, "but they say that I must visit an animal shelter and adopt it if I want one."
"That's a good idea," Roxy said. "many dogs are waiting for their owners at animal shelters." "She's right," Jack said, "but I imagine that Rocket girl gets you a good little dog for you in a shelter." And he looked Mara and Roxy. "Ugh, do you think that's possible...?" They said in a one voice. "Hee-hee, I was only kidding," he said, "let's ask Terrel's parents to if we can go to the shelter."

When they arrived at the animal center, Roxy's watch beeped. She looked at her friends with an urgent eyes and said, "Guys, um... I think I should go to the bathroom. I'll be back soon." "All right." Terrel said, and signalled her 'I'll contact you later.'

At the bathroom, she pressed the button. "Mayor Bloom," she whispered. "What's wrong?"
