  •   "eighty-six, eighty-seven, eighty-eight..." I counted as I took one step and a time. At adult world, I use to walk around my neighborhood late at night.  But Childworld was unfamiliar, and for the first time, I wished I was back at 9 Evergreen road.

"Eighty-nine, Ninety..." I continued. I walked for half an hour and then halted. In front of me was a grand and modern building which was huge. It was the palace.

I stepped in, hoping to see a familiar face like Mina-though I wasn't even sure Mina was anyone's friend. But there was none of the faces I knew.

If there was Joyce, it would have been much more enjoyable.

I would have burst into tears, there, in front of the whole crowd if not the ballerinas on a floating boat didn't started performing.

I gasped when I saw a round object rolling over the russian girls' shoulders-it was a ball. the ballerinas were performing with balls rolling on their bodies!

The ballerinas were terrific, but at the last point, the boat floated near to the shore and the pretty girl in front jumped out.

As the girls toe shoes touched the floor, a pack of fireflies burst out, showing fireworks in the sky. I guess Joyce meant this for 'fireflyworks'.

Everyone was lost at the enchanting fireflyworks when the prince rode on the big boat and cleared his throat. "Ahem!" he said. Everyone looked at it.

"It's been a peaceful years in Childworld, and we appreciate all of our citizens for-"

grown up in adult word, I expected a long, boring speech, which was my worst guess ever. I woke up with light taps of Joyce on my shoulder, finding out that I missed most of the dance party and cake. My head sank, and Joyce tried to cheer me up.

"Don't be so sad," she urged. "The party isn't over yet." I looked up, and brightened. Joyce may be right. Joyce got a slice of cake for me and herself. It tasted so wonderful, I wished it was my birthday cake every year.

The 'floating' ballerinas was performing once more, and right behind their boat was a raft loaded with singers wearing long robes. Their robes slumped on their shoulders and all the way to the ground, with much more extra.

"Those robes look heavy," I said, feeling as though I was wearing a heavy robe myself.

"Don't worry, they're light as feathers," Joyce told me. I let out a breath, looking as if a burden had lifted from my shoulders. Joyce giggled.

"I think you can be an actor at the royal play team," she chuckled. "I thought you was carrying something heavy yourself and then lifted it!"

I laughed. Being with Joyce was fun, much more fun than a couple of hours ago.

I turned to look at her, and I saw that her eyes were darting all over the party place.

"It's six o'clock. aren't zame Bill coming and claimed as the next prince?" she asked. I face lit up. "If he is, we've got to see," I said eagerly. "Let's go!"

We pushed through the crowd until we had a great view of the stage. Then, Prince Eric stood up. "Now is the time for the honorary person, Bill to come up!"

A path cleared, and a thick red carpet covered it. Everyone waited. And waited...and waited....

Finally someone came hurrying up the hill, over the red carpet.

But it was not zame Bill. It was a young boy about eight years old, huffing and puffing.

"Prince Eric-" he gasped. "Bill...is seriously ill, he might not be able to be the next prince!"
